"The Metropolitan Glass Works, located at 95 Commercial Street, Brooklyn, New York, and Garrison and Flushing Avenue, Maspeth, Long Island, New York, was [in business by 1912]. The name of the firm again appeared [in 1918] ... as the Metropolitan Cut Glass Company. By 1927 the name of the firm was changed to the Metropolitan Pottery Company, with locations at Maspeth, Long Island, and Meriden, Connecticut, the last listing for this concern was dated 1930." — Revi, Albert Christian.
