The Breckenridge Mfg. Co., maker of gas fixtures and metal goods, operated at least from 1887-1891 (based on a found 1887 advertisement and listing on the 1891 Sanborn map). In 1887, F. R. Seidensticker is indicated as the company president and J. H. Breckenridge as the secretary and treasurer. Another found 1887 advertisement shows another company, Breckenridge & Co., manfacturer of piano, organ and store stools, probably related, is in the same area and possibly at the same address.
