"Having just seen an exhibition of Guy Dill’s work in glass and metal at the Pace Gallery, Mrs. Tremaine came upon a vandalized window in a jewelry store on Madison Avenue. Thinking it would translate into an extraordinary work of art, she phoned Guy Dill, bought the glass and the 1974 work Riot glass was the result [and presumably installed on the Tremaine’s Madison, CT property].
